ABOUT LISA CUTLER
Lisa A. Cutler is a New York based photographer whose practice spans landscape, portraiture and street photography. She is best known for her series of photographs, exploring the urban landscape of Red Hook, Brooklyn. Red Hook was completed in 2019, and has gone on to be recognized through a number of awards including the 2019 Le Prix de la Photographie de Paris (Honorable Mention), 15th Julia Margaret Cameron Award (Category Winner), Klompching Gallery’s Fresh 2020 Annual Summer Exhibition (Finalist) and Critical Mass 2020 (Finalist). The series was curated into the Los Angeles Center for Photography's Project 2020 exhibition and subsequently featured in Lenscratch. Throughout 2020–2021, Cutler has continued to explore architecture, space and its impact on people. A selection of photographs from her Hidden Homes series, was curated into a group exhibition at the Foley Gallery in New York, and Red Hook was exhibited at the FotoNostrum Gallery in Barcelona, Spain. In 2025, her first photobook, The Hook: A Photographic Journey Through Red Hook Brooklyn, was published by Kehrer Verlag (Germany), and launched at the Paris Photo.
